Take this time to acquaint yourself with the Swollen Cranium code of conduct.
Failure to read and or comprehend these rules and instructions is not an acceptable defense nor is it a means for you to mitigate any infraction you may encounter on our forums.
If you are not sure of something or you have any questions about acceptable conduct, you can refer to these rules, ask a moderator, ask a senior member or ask the administrator to clarify the situation for you.

• OVERVIEW
In general, you may post any material, providing that it is on-topic for the forum in which you are posting and that it conforms to the remainder of the rules that you find in this section and is allowed by your specific user group. This includes material that disagrees with the way that we, the owners and operators of SwollenCranium.com, operate the forums and its associated entities. We will not interfere with the communication of thoughts and ideas as long as the presentation is constructive and appropriate for all those capable of comprehending the subject matter.

That being said and taking into consideration the meaning of the above statement, you the user must understand that you may come into contact with subject matter that is disagreeable to you and indeed to most of humanity at large.

• NON PARTICIPATION OPTION
All members of The swollen Cranium forums have joined voluntarily. If you don't like The Swollen Cranium forums, the members of this forum, the moderators, the administrators or the forum rules, then you may simply choose to not participate. If you do not want to be here, fine ... Don't go away mad, just go away.

• Please understand that this forum and its associated entities are intended for mature adults 18 years of age or older.

RULE #1

• You must have an active account to post on our forums.

Logged-out and non registered user will be presented with a limited preview of The Swollen Cranium forums. User profiles, user albums, social groups and other user areas are only viewable by a registered and logged in member.

NOTE: The 'BLOG' section and 'The Rules' section will always be open to global viewing.

• One account per user, Alternate accounts are not permitted. If you are found to have multiple accounts you are subject to having ALL of your accounts deleted.
Running a proxy in order to mask yourself in an attempt to bypass this forums account rule is not permitted.

RULE #2

Spamming, bumping and pyramid quoting is an annoying habit on ANY forum. It will not be tolerated here.

• Spam is considered to be repetitive posting of the same topic or text or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users.

• Bumping threads more frequently than once per day per thread in order to keep them near the top of the list is prohibited.

• Pyramid quoting is a response to a forum thread which contains the quotes of FIVE or more previous posters. Use the Multi Quote feature to obtain the allowed # of quotes. If you feel the need to quote more than 5 people then it would be logical to start a new thread instead.

RULE #3

• LINKS, AND SIGNATURES
Links are permitted in the body of your signature. No more than 2 links are permitted and must conform to the dimensions defined by your user group. No visual representation or suggestions of illegal activities are permitted in ANY members signature area. Final decision on what is and is not permitted in the signature area is at the sole discretion of the Administrator.

• ADVERTISEMENTS
You may link to your website in your signature. You may NOT use this forum for recruitment, announcements or any organized posting of another forum/web site's business or day to day activities without prior approval from the administrator.

• TOPIC RELEVANCE AND LOCATION
Select the most appropriate Category, Forum or Topic in which to post your message. Please take the time to look at all the forums and see where your topic should go. Proper topic placement is important because it keeps The Swollen Cranium forums better organized, therefore easier to read and navigate for everyone. Topics move further down the page faster in busier forums, thus causing the topic to become inactive and archived sooner than it might be if it were placed in its proper forum. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it may be moved to the correct forum.

• HIJACKING TOPICS
Members should make every effort to keep posts relevant to the topic. Hijacking threads with irrelevant information with intent to deviate the topic direction is discouraged, and may result in the removal of the posts. The Green Zone is 100% off limits to hijacking at all times. The Red Zone has limited hijack protection by means of the Do not Hijack tag, members MUST display the do not hijack icon in the initial post in order to receive hijack protection.

LEGAL

• The forum owner is located in the United States, the web host is a US based company and as such all activities that take place on this forum will adhere to US based standards and internet law.

• You take full responsibility for any and all personal information, pictures, videos and text posting you make on this forum. Simply put; NOTHING is private on the internet, EVERYTHING you post can and does come back to haunt you. Be aware of this.

• Any threats of hacking or besmirching of the swollencranium name and/or URL could result in a Banning. You are not allowed to threaten this or ANY OTHER website with hacking or DOS or any other internet attack... simply don't talk about it here. This website, like others, is not free to the owners to operate, we spend OUR money so that you can have an enjoyable site. Fucking with this website is like trying to steal my wallet.

• NO posting of text, still photographs, video, audio or any other media type depicting the sexual abuse of children will EVER be tolerated on this forum. Your post will be deleted and you may be BANNED immediately for this transaction. If the material is considered improper in common society then it is improper here as well.

• NO posting of text, still photographs, video, audio or any other media type depicting the maiming,abuse,torture or other cruel acts to animals will EVER be tolerated on this forum. Your post will be deleted and you may be BANNED for this transaction. If the material is considered improper in common society then it is improper here as well.

• The owner/operator of The Swollen Cranium will NEVER sell, transfer or give your email or personal data to ANYONE at ANYTIME with out your consent unless it is requested by a legitimate law enforcement agency with a legitimate right to obtain such data.

RULE #6

PORNOGRAPHY

This site is for adults only and therefore the occasional posting of pornographic images is allowed with the following limitations and explanations;

• Posting of pornographic images in the public portion of this forum will only be allowed in those areas that carry the NSFW (Not Safe For Work) tag or in the sub forum designated for such material.
If you start a thread that contains porn you WILL use this --> As your thread icon. ( Not needed in the Pervert/Deviant forum)

• Members that choose to store porn in their albums must mark those albums in such a way as to let viewers know it is NSFW, in addition those albums MUST be made private and should only be viewable by friends/contacts.

• The gratuitous posting of porn is defined as repeatedly posting pictures of a pornographic nature with out any back story or text content. This is not allowed in the general areas of this forum under any circumstance.

• Member avatars WILL NOT contain pictures or animation depicting sex or below the waist nudity.

• Member profiles MAY contain porn images.

RULE #7

No N00b bashing.

• N00bs will be given a short time in which to find their footing. All members
will refrain from initiating derogatory remarks directed at a new user that has 25 posts or less.

• This rule is null and void should a new user immediately make it known, through his/her actions, that they do not desire this protection or they initiate an attack on other members.
