Um... Sort of? It really depends on where you go. I'll be in Anchorage, which is right on the ocean (helps moderate temperatures) and also has the Anchorage bowl (a semi circle of mountains) to further the temperate climate. It's quite nice.

However... Central AK is :yociexp37:

It's fuckin' 95-100 in the summers and about -45 in the winters. That is way too much of an extreme for me. If it was just one or the other - really cold or really hot, I could do it, but not both.
