One has 60 minutes of edit availability.

Did you try outside the 60 minutes?

I'm pretty sure I tried to edit within an hour.

Why the hour limit?

(You see NOW it's coming up with the edit option AFTER I ask about it)

It's how another forum I go on operates and that hasn't been an issue! Which is why I asked. XD

Why the hour limit?




Because of the volatile nature of some of the conversations as well as the flighty habits of some of our more easily offended membership I long ago decided to only allow a 60 minute edit limit.

Imagine a member with a case of the red ass getting pissed off an erasing all of his/her posts, now imagine that same member was at one time a prolific poster and had over 2000 of them.

You can see the dilemma this would cause with 2000 empty posts spread out over many threads, especially if the now missing posts were thread starters and entire conversations were built off of them.
