We recently had these cuddly-looking, 30cm canine wielding, vicous cunts rocking up at the resort where I work.
They migrated to this side of Lake Victoria, and saw the resort as a good place to splatter with their shit, by wagging their tiny tails at quite an amazing speed, while oozing out poo into said wagging tails.
Altogether 6 of them, or so.

Thats after other Africans which, is closely followed by mosquitos.

But the difference between mosquitos, and hippos, is mosquitos carry disease-causing viruses and parasites from person to person. Where hippos are ill-tempered animals, that attack humans, and boats.

BTW did you know, that a hippopotamus' closest living relatives are whales, and porpoises?
